Sex Offender Registry Application
The State of Connecticuts Department of Information Technology (DOIT), IT Contracts & Purchasing Division (CPD), is
issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) on behalf of Department of Public Safety (DPS), for the replacement of the
existing Sex Offender Registry (SOR) application to meet the following objectives;
Mitigate the risk of system failure by replacing the deteriorating SOR application with a stable
supported application.
Allow DPS to achieve substantial compliance with the Sex Offender Registry Notification Act
(SORNA) requirements of the Adam Walsh Act by July 2009 and to meet Connecticut statutory
requirements.
Expand the SOR website to allow for address searches that display area maps indicating where sex
offenders live, work or attend school. And provide functionality that allow for the public to subscribe
for email when sex offenders move into a particular area.
