General Requirements:

The work to be covered in this contract consists of providing all labor, equipment, and supervision required to provide VA Togus, Maine with a digital video record of the storm and sanitary sewer lines at the VA Togus facility. The contractor will also provide a written report of the condition of the lines inspected. There are approximately 17,000 lineal feet of storm sewers and approximately 12,000 feet of sanitary sewers. The contractor shall also provide eight hours of sanitary and eight hours of storm sewer cleaning/clearing as a line item.

The existing sewer systems have been installed over the many years of the VA Togus facility operations. Many different piping materials are utilized and the conditions of the lines will vary. There are 3 lift stations that are part of the sanitary sewer system. The Togus VA facility will remain in operation during the inspection process. Complete shutdowns will not be possible. It is incumbent upon the contractor to determine the best times to video the sewer lines (minimal flow). After hours work may be permitted at the discretion of the contracting officer.

Provide a permanent video and written record of the current conditions of all the storm and sanitary sewers so that information/data can be utilized to generate immediate and long term repair/maintenance plans. In addition, the contractor shall provide the VA with line item pricing (by the hour) for up to 8 hours of sanitary sewer obstruction clearing/cleaning and 8 hours of storm sewer obstruction clearing/cleaning.
