The Foundation has announced two new funding opportunities within the fields of elder abuse and neglect and mental health.
The Elder Abuse and Neglect Initiative - Service Innovations Request for Proposals is open to eligible organizations in California. The grant program's goal is to advance the field of preventing elder abuse and neglect by improving the quality and coordination of services for such victims in California. Specifically, the Archstone Foundation is seeking to expand service programs that address unmet needs and fill gaps in services for victims of elder abuse and neglect in California through the expansion and development of: preventative servicesl services for victims of fraud, financial abuse, and exploitationl improved legal services and improved legal systems that address elder abusel mental health services for victimsl and shelter and housing. Only nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations and governmental agencies are eligible to apply. Applicants should notify the foundation of their intent to apply by March 30, 2011. Full proposals are due by April 6, 2011.
