Services for Inmates Re-entering Society
This solicitation is designed to provide funding to non-profit organizations for direct services to offenders returning to the community. The Reentry Initiative envisions the development of model reentry programs that begin in correctional institutions and continue throughout an offender's transition to and stabilization in the community. This program provides for individual reentry plans that address issues confronting offenders as they return to the community.
The DE strategy proposes to streamline pre/post release assessments, services and to develop transition plans for offenders. Eligible participants must work in conjunction with the Department of Corrections policies and the State of Delaware Re-entry plan.
This solicitation is for potential applicants to provide post release services for offender reentry throughout the State of Delaware. Funds will be subgranted for community based services that include but are not limited to securing housing; life skills; emergency needs such as food, clothing and transportation; family re-unification; counseling; case management; and other treatment services including drug treatment.
