Service Repair of Advanced Boresight Equipment (ABE) P/N 40262-44000-40
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Divison Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a Sole Source basis with AAI Corporation. d/b/a Textron Systems, Hunt Valley, MD, for the procurement of repair services for the inspection, calibration, labor, and materials necessary to restore parts associated with the Advanced Boresight Equipment (ABE) to ensure Fleet readiness. AAI Corporation is the only known source with the knowledge and technical data to provide repair services to the units. AAI Corporation is the original equipment manufacturer of the ABE units and retains all proprietary data rights and drawings necessary for the repair and does not intend to release this information to other sources.
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
