Sensing and Information Research Center for Understanding Systems (SIRCUS)
The Layered Sensor Exploitation Division, AFRL/RYA, has been fostering innovative research projects with research facilities throughout the US. This program will expand on the current work from the Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) Center programs. The ATR Center programs focused on understanding performance of sensing and exploitation systems and has historically leveraged partnerships between university research, industry and government to help solve some of the Air Force's current technology challenges as well developing innovative approaches for future Air Force technology. This program will expand the amount of fundamental research topics to address as many of the sensing challenges as possible.
