Chandigarh Administration is providing services to its citizens through the Sampark and Gram Sampark centres which involves financial and non-financial transactions. As regards the non financial transactions, the same are managed by the Systems Integrator directly with the concerned departments, whereas financial transactions relate to Receipt of payments relating to utility bills, taxes etc. and disbursal of payments relating to social pensions etc. To ensure the proper management of the government revenue collected/disbursed through the above said financial transactions from the Sampark centres, the role of a Bank becomes imperative.
