The project is for the functional, performance, and operational based design of a security system upgrade for the airport. The system design process will weigh the various alternatives including software and hardware solutions to determine a best fit while maintaining a competitive pricing environment. The scope of work will consist of the following components in order of importance as identified by airport staff and would be implemented in the same order, budgets permitting. • The replacement of the existing Monitor Dynamics access control and alarm monitoring system (ACS) and certain associated field hardware with a new system as specified in the proposal documents. • The City currently owns and uses a Milestone Systems Corporate video management system (VMS) at other City facilities. This project will include the implementation of the Milestone system to support the new cameras, recording servers and client workstations for the airport. Implementation of the Milestone system will include installation of the existing software and provision of new camera licenses to support the replacement of existing analog cameras with IP cameras and the installation of new cameras. • The implementation of a Security Network to support the ACS and VMS systems. • The construction of a new Airport Operations Center (AOC) within an existing space within the terminal building and the relocation of certain equipment from the existing AOC. • Removal of the existing equipment from the current AOC location with repairs to interior finishes. • The extension of existing 120 V and 208 V AC circuits to the new AOC. • Provision of new console, workstations and associated furniture, fixtures and equipment in the new AOC. • Provision of other physical architectural improvements to the existing space where the new AOC will be constructed. • Provision for a new Electronic Fingerprinting System.
