Security Incident and Event Management Solution

SMUD is soliciting proposals for a Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) solution to monitor log inputs from various SMUD computing equipment and analyze the received data to detect impending threats and provide advanced forensic analysis. The solution must be a physical, hardware based appliance and must interoperate with all existing SMUD network hardware as outlined in the Current Network Overview section below.
In addition to any applicable hardware, software and licensing, this proposal must include professional services for installation, configuration, and maintenance, as well as technical support and user and administrator training (for up to 15 employees) necessary to allow SMUD to fully utilize the solution. This procurement will establish a three year standard for SIEM. SMUD also wishes to secure options for two additional one year extensions to be exercised at our discretion.
