This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested. The Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration (MARAD) intends to procure Security Guard Services at two locations; the Beaumont Reserve Fleet, 2600 Amoco Road, Beaumont, Texas and the Beaumont Layberth Facility, 5320 Church House Road, Orange, TX 77630. This is a small business set aside and the NAICS code is 561612 and the small business size standard is $17M. See attached SF1449 for complete information.

Reference DTMA93Q140027 on your inquiries Quotes will be due Thursday, June 12, 2014, 3:00 p.m. CDT. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract as a result of this RFQ. Award will be made to the lowest price responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. Proposals received will be evaluated on the basis of best value. The Government intends to make an award without discussions, however, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions, if it is decided that it is the best interest of the Government to do so.
