Second Request for Proposal (RFP) for Qualified Instructors for KVHS, June 2009
The Kentucky Department of Education is issuing a second Request for Proposal (RFP) for qualified individuals to assist in the delivery of high-quality instruction online through the Kentucky Virtual High School (KVHS). KVHS offers online courses to elementary, middle and high school students. KVHS is seeking qualified candidates to serve as online instructors in most subject areas (core content (except Social Studies), AP (all areas), and world language (French, Chinese, and Spanish) and elective). This is a great opportunity to break into virtual learning and earn some extra money at the same time.
Please note the salary schedule is different than that of the first posting. If you are interested in working for KVHS, follow the instructions below to access the RFP. Also note the deadline to submit questions in writing is Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 12:00 Noon; the deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, June 19, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.
The KVHS Teacher RFP has now been posted on the Finance and Administration Cabinet's Web site. The address to access posted solicitations on the eProcurement homepage is https://eprocurement.ky.gov/. From there, click on the eMars Vendor Self Service image; select Public Access; Business Opportunities; then Search for Solicitations. Vendors can search for solicitations by specific departments.
To view solicitations for the Department of Education, enter 540 in the Departments field, and click on Browse. All solicitations for the Kentucky Department of Education will be listed. Position your cursor on the RFP Number of the solicitation you would like to view, and click to open. Click on the PDF Tab located on the Solicitation Details View Screen in order to print the desired solicitation.
In order to be considered for a contract, you must submit a proposal consisting of the items identified under Proposal Components along with the appropriate number of copies. The proposal must be mailed or hand delivered to the following address:
