Painted Desert Demonstration Project (DBA STAR School) is seeking proposals for Internal connections for broadband services and basic maintenance of these connections. STAR School is a Charter School located 25 miles NE of Flagstaff Arizona and a rural area. STAR School is a completely off-the-grid facility providing its own electricity through solar and wind generators.
STAR School currently has two dedicated servers housed on campus and wireless broadband connections between 5 buildings over an approximately 3 acre campus. Internet is provided through microwave connection. There are no ground lines for cable, electricity or phones. Phones use VOIP connectivity.
Acceptable proposals will provide quotes for services, description of how the service will be provided, and contact information for the company. The selected service provider will provide services under the E-Rate guidelines, invoicing our school for the unfunded 10% of total costs and invoicing USAC through 472 BEAR reimbursement process for the funded 90%. Funding approval letters will be provided to the service provider. The successful proposal will allow for an "out clause" in the contract with STAR School in the event that E-Rate funding is not approved by USAC.
Deadline for submission of proposals is February 20th, 2015
