School Bus Transporation
The U. S. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island on behalf of the Army Sustainment Command-Directorate of Logistics intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Johannes Bus Service for school bus service for children on the Rock Island Arsenal to the Moline Schools for the 2014-2015 school year. Pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (i), Contracting Officer may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available. Offers from sources other than Johannes Bus Service are not being solicited. The aforementioned contractor is small business. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be reviewed by the Government and be considered for any future requirement which will be competed for the 2015-2016 school year. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The anticipated award date will be made on or around 11 August 2014.
