Scanning Services
The selected vendor(s) will provide services to effectively meet the following expectations:
1. Work with City agencies and departments and the Division of Technology to develop a comprehensive approaches for the scanning of physical documents in the City.
2. Perform on-site and/or off-site scanning of documents. Individual work orders will be issued for this scanning on an as needed basis. Image digitization should reasonably comply with Federal Agencies Digitization Guidelines Initiative (FADGI) Still Image Working Group or the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
3. Work with the City of Philadelphia Records Department to create comprehensive strategies for the retention/preservation of physical documents of historical significance and value.
4. Determine methods the City can implement to provide City employees as well as the public access to the digital versions of documents of historical significance and value.
