Scanners
This is a proposed sole source acquisition to Scantron to purchase seven Insight 20 Imaging Scanners and seven Remark Classic OMR Software Workstation Licenses. The solicitation will be posted to http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ on or about 22 May 2014. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 334118 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. The government anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of the solicitation. The solicitation may be downloaded from FedBizOpps, since copies of the solictation will not be available for mailing. All prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Acqusition Managment (SAM) prior to award of contract with any DoD agency. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.sam.gov/. Any interested party may submit a proposal which will be considered by this organization.
The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received before the offer due date specified on the solicitation/RFQ will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
