DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA)
DENVER ACQUISITION & LOGISTICS CENTER (DALC)
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) VA791-17-N-0177
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS
I. INTRODUCTION / BACKGROUND
The Veterans Administration (VA) Denver Logistic and Acquisitions Center (DALC) administers holistic supply chain management for the VA National Hearing Aid and VA Telehealth Programs. Commodities managed include worldwide distribution of hearing aids, hearing aid accessories, cochlear implants, assistive devices, batteries, prosthetic socks, orthotic soft goods, aids for the visually impaired, and VA telehealth messaging hubs and peripherals. Peripherals include items such as floor scales, pedometers, blood pressure monitors, and pulse oximeters. Veterans may order many items directly from the DALC and have them shipped to their homes, reducing unnecessary trips to medical facilities and enhancing efficiency of clinical staff. Some items are ordered by clinicians to be shipped to the clinic to be issued to the Veteran.

This particular requirement will fulfill a need for commodities needed to effectively process the orders received at the DALC in support of the VA Telehealth Program. The Contractor will provide scales to the DALC that will be sent directly to Veterans.

However, this RFI is also being used to identify potential and eligible firms, of all sizes, prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a solicitation. All Small Business, Socioeconomic contracting programs (8(a), HUBZone, WOSB) will be considered. This requirement is assigned a NAICS code of 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing.
