Contract Description
The Contractor shall re-surface thirteen (13) miles on six (6) National Forest System Roads (NFSR) on the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF).

1) Reconditioning the existing roads in accordance with - Road Reconditioning specifications contained within the solicitation.


2) Placing of Minor Crushed Aggregate in accordance with - Minor Crushed Aggregate specifications contained within the solicitation.


The six (6) roads are double-lane and the width of the roads is not constant and varies along the length of the roads; the average width of the roads is fifteen (15) feet. The SFNF intends to keep the roads open to the public during the construction. The Contractor shall adhere to specification(s) contained in the solicitation for the roads to remain open for public traffic while construction is in process.


The depth of the placed aggregate at each work location will depend on the road and local conditions as determined by the COR, not to exceed three (3) inches in compacted depth.


The work under this contract is divided into a basic schedule and 5 optional schedules. Bidders must provide a quotation on the basic schedule and all optional schedules. The optional schedules may be awarded subject to the availability of government funding.


Since this is only the pre-solicitation notice the solicitation documents will be released on or before June 29, 2019.

The Basis of Award and the evaluation criteria are contained on page 37 of the attached Solicitation Body.
