The City of San Jose (City) desires a seamless, spatially and attributionally accurate Storm Geographic Information System (GIS) dataset in an improved data model that can be managed in the enterprise using Intergraph tools. Optionally, City desires that the enhanced Storm GIS data be integrated and synchronized with the Storm Sewer Maintenance System (SSMS), that the backlog of storm engineering plans be reduced or eliminated, and that the inventory of inlets be improved. The goal of this RFP is to solicit Proposers with the capability to enhance the Storm Drain System GIS dataset to support current technologies and workflows, and to consolidate these data in the GIS Enterprise to allow better support of, integration and access to, CITY applications and programs. The selected Consultant(s) shall perform professional services to develop and implement the CITYs Storm Drain Data Model in the versioned Oracle Spatial 10g R2 database and enable Intergraphs Advanced Feature Model (AFM) for Public Works Manager. The goal of the enhanced data model is to support the full functionality of the commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) GeoMedia suite of products and GIS workflows identified by Public Works staff.
