STEAM TUNNEL REPAIRS

The solicitation will be posted electronically through FedBizOpps on or about June 26, 2014.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 21 (VISN 21) has a requirement excavate steam tunnel and install new fasteners and retainers on steam supply and return lines at Building 100 at VA Palo Alto Health Care System, Palo Alto CA. Contractor shall provide all demolished materials, equipment, labor, materials, tools, safety measures, supervision, transportation. Project duration is not expected to exceed 60 Calendar days.
All work to be performed will be within North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $33.5M. Estimated construction cost is between $25,000 and $100,000.
Sealed bids shall be requested and shall only be accepted from contractors who were awarded a Veterans Integrated Service Network 21 (VISN 21) Multiple-Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) from Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21). As a reminder, MATOC holders must be currently registered in Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE). Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov. An active registration in SAM is required. Registration is available at www.SAM.gov. An active registration in VETS100/100a Federal Contractor Report at www.dol.gov/vets/vets-100.html is required.
Interested MATOC holders are encouraged to register via www.fbo.gov in order to view the formal solicitation when it is released.
