SR 347 Median Landscaping
The City of Maricopa is seeking the services of a qualified licensed contractor to place decorative rock along State
Route 347 from the Rancho El Dorado entrance South to Edison Road and Honeycutt Road 0.2 miles west of
Duncan Drive continuing 0.6 miles to the West terminating at the Santa Rosa Wash. Honeycutt Road is a City
maintained road and as such will need to be permitted through the City of Maricopa. An ADOT permit has been
issued to the City of Maricopa without an approved traffic control plan.
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will mow the medians and apply a soil sterilant to the
medians on S.R. 347. The Maricopa Public Works Department will mow the medians and apply a soil sterilant
to the medians on Honeycutt Road. The excavation, earthwork, required to allow the landscape to be placed will
be handled by ADOT and the City of Maricopa with respect to their individual Right-of-Ways. This will consist of
approximately excavating 3 inches below top of curb.
