The Foundation has contracted to take in a new data source from Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) in a format that we do not support in our current environment. This new data source is known as the Minimum Data Set (MDS) file that SNF's provide to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The data received from the SNF's facility will be submitted in an XML format as dictated in the MDS file requirements with no unexpected variations of the file structure.
