SOURCES SOUGHT / NOTICES OF INTENT
THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR Tecplot, Inc.
BACKGROUND:
Tecplot is proprietary software used to post-process raw data from computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and data analysis for aircraft flight performance. It can data mine simulation outputs for features and phenomena that could significantly impact aircraft performance and behavior. Tecplot can also produce presentation level graphics and animations for use in further analyses and documentation.
AUTHORITY CITED- The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
