NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ)for the following Commercial item/services: FLIGHT MODEL MW1000 REACTION WHEEL ASSEMBLY WITHOUT SYSTRON DONNER RATE SENSOR that meets the following specifications:

Size: Fit inside 140x140x100 mm Mass: = 1.0 Nms Torque Capability: >= 30mNm Data Interface: Asynchronous RS-422 Voltage: 28V Power Consumption: 0 rpm: < 3.0W 10,000 rpm: < 8W Operating Temperature Range: -30C to +60C
**Please note: In order to meet this requirement, the item must be delivered to NASA Wallops Flight Facility no later than October 30, 2014**
This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 336419 and 1,000, respectively.
The anticipated release date of RFQ NNG14513546Q is on or about May 19, 2014 with an anticipated quotation due date of on or about June 2, 2014.
All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.

The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.
