SIMON CSII Support
The Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to modify existing basic ordering agreement delivery order N68335-12-G-0011-0007 to provide for an additional twelve (12) months of support as detailed below The Government anticipates issuing this modification on a non-competitive basis to SRI International, 333 Ravenswood Ave, Menlo Park, CA 94025.
The contractor will be required to complete software enhancements and incorporate those software enhancements into the Smart Integration Manager, Ontologically Networked (SIMON) Cooperative Situational Information Integration (CSII) software suite. The anticipated modification will require that the contractor provide updates to the CSII User and Administrator manuals and provide CSII User and Administrator training. Furthermore, the contractor will be required to provide CSII system support, information assurance, and help desk support, as well as support for the Adaptive Fusion Tracker (AFT). The software suite is used in support of the United States Southern Command's (USSOUTHCOM) requirement for near real-time information exchange between the United States Government and Partner Nations. The aforementioned services are anticipated to be required immediately after the period of performance has ended on the order. The additional period of performance required is twelve (12) months.
THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued under the sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
GENERAL INFORMATION: SRI International is the developer and provider of the SIMON Platform and the only qualified source capable to effectively continue the development, testing and integration of the SIMON platform at an efficient cost and effective manner within the specified timeframe. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
