NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may berequired tomanufacture the items as specified within this document. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit AAI d/b/a Textron (97384) for the procurement of 6625-01-653-5238, Switch Amplifier QTY: 54 6625-01-653-5247, Signal Generator, QTY: 43 6625-01-653-5253. Switching Group, RA, QTY: 26 1680-01-653-7108, Switching Group, RA, QTY:15 1680-01-653-7110, Oscillator Subassem, QTY: 10 6625-01-674-2965, Signal Generator, QTY: 2 5895-01-678-8772. Spectrum Analyzer, QTY: 5 5895-01-678-8774, Oscillator, QTY: 2 5975-01-679-2593, Front Panel, QTY: 2 Various NAICS: 334412, 750; 336413, 1250; 334290, 750; 335931,500. The government does not possess (or cannot provide) the data necessary to perform the required repairs or manufacture of the item. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the Free Trade A greements Act and/or the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. Based on Market Research, the Government's need MAY be met by a type of item customarily available in the commercial market place that would meet the definition of a commercial item at FAR Subpart 2.1. The contracting officer shall solicit & award any resultant contract using the policies & procedures of FAR Part 12. All responsible sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of thissources sought notice will be considered by the Government. A determination bythe Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Source Approval is required. WSS will not delay award while Source Approval is pending. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
