Lake Shelbyville Trilateration Station Rehabilitation Project
This is a Sources Sought Notice. This Sources Sought neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This Sources Sought should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Notice is in support of a market survey being conducted by the St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers to identify interested Contractors within the District area for the Scope of Work listed below. The following are general capabilities required to perform the Scope of Work according to USACE standards. The Contractor must be capable to perform the Scope of Work listed below. Contract is anticipated to be up to a 240 Calendar Day duration Construction Contract. Work associated with this requirement shall take place at Lake Shelbyville located in Shelby County, IL

General Project Description
Construction Contract
The work covered by this contract consist of furnishing all plant, equipment, labor, professional engineering services, supplies, materials, supervision, and performing all operations required for removal and disposal of three (3) existing wood framed trilateration stations; Design, Fabrication, and Delivery of Three (3) new steel framed trilateration stations; and Installation of three (3) new steel framed trilateration stations as specified and in accordance with the contract specifications. Current Trilateration Stations consist of wood framed, elevated platforms, installed around existing control monuments. New Trilateration Stations shall be designed and fabricated from steel matching the typical dimensions and configuration of existing wood structures. Designs shall take into account minimum design requirements specified and be in accordance with standard publications and codes as referenced in the contract specifications. Final designed structures shall provide and elevated platform structure which may be accessed by government personnel and the general public.
Contract Areas and Construction Limits: The primary contract areas are located within the vicinity of the Lake Shelbyville Project Boundaries, within the Illinois County of Shelby.


Work Statement
Work associated with this requirement includes, but not limited to,
Required Trades: The contractor shall have the capabilities of supplying trades including, but not limited to laborers, carpenters, operators, welders, iron workers, cement masons, and professional engineering services to provide for removal of existing stations, engineering and design of new stations, fabrication of stations, and installation.
Required Equipment: The contractor shall have the capabilities of supplying multiple pieces of equipment including, but not limited to, the types of equipment as described below for performance of work:
• Skidsters, Tractors with box blades, Compactors, Augers, Excavators, Loaders, Dump Trucks, and other misc equipment required for removal and disposal of existing trilateration stations, and installation of new trilateration stations.


• Metal Fabrication, Testing, and Galvanizing equipment to provide for fabrication of new steel trilateration stations.


Submission
1. Please provide examples of work that your company has performed in the areas listed below, if work was sub-contracted please annotate this. No more than (3) three projects in any area of work performed. Describe past work experience showing all or more than one of the areas listed that were performed under one contract.
Areas of work involving characteristics that are similar to the types of work and services described herein:
A. Demolition and Disposal of existing wood or steel framed structures.


B. Obtaining or Producing detailed engineering designs, specifications, and requirements certified by a Licensed Professional Structural Engineer for fabrication and installation of steel platform structures in accordance with minimum requirements, concept designs, and standard publications/building codes.


C. Fabrication and Galvanizing of steel platform structures in accordance with Engineer stamped and certified drawings, requirements, and specifications.


D. Installation of steel platform structures following methods specified to the lines and grades as detailed in Engineer stamped and certified drawings, requirements, and specifications.

The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Notice. Respondents need to indicate all business designations (small Business, 8(a), certified HUBZone, Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman Owned, Minority, Native American, and/or Service Disabled Veteran Owned).
