THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE OF THE VISN 7 CONTRACTING NETWORK S INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE. NO HARD COPY OF THE RFQ IS AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. The Government anticipates entering into sole source procurement with Envision America Inc., to provide SCRIPT TALK STATION READER AND PRINTER by Envision America Inc at the Montgomery VA Medical Center. The Script talks currently accommodates prescription fillings for our blind veterans at the Montgomery and MVAC Facilities.

This announcement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by June 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM CST. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interest received on or before the date and time indicated above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.

Envision Script Talk Printer and Reader Station
Description of Services:
The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is seeking to purchase two Script Talk station readers and printers from Envision America to meet the needs of our blind/visually impaired Veteran patients to be used at the MVAC facility and West Campus Pharmacy. This system is used to print labels embedded with readable chips that when used along with the Script Talk reader station becomes audible identifying the medication and the directions on how to take the medication.
This system must meet the following specifications:
Print audible prescription labels
Read audible labels for verification purposes before dispensing to Veteran patient
Work with existing VA issued Script Talk reader machines Veterans have in their homes
Provide a minimum of a one year warranty included with purchase of the products
Hospital grade 3 prong plug
Place of Performance: Products shall be delivered to the CAVHCS- West Campus Warehouse which is physically located at 215 Perry Hill Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109 for MVAC 8105 Veterans Way Montgomery, AL 36117 and West Campus.
Date of Performance: All requested products on this transaction shall be completely manufactured as specified and delivered to the jobsite delivery no later than August 15, 2017.
Installation: None required
