SBIR/STTR Opportunity: Fabrication and Testing of Large Aperture Achromatic Visible Metalens for Imaging Applications

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Small Business Programs Office (SBPO) is issuing an SBIR/STTR Opportunity (SBO) inviting submissions of innovative research concepts in the technical domain(s) of metamaterial lenses, or bmetalensesb, either standalone, or integrated with bulk optics to reduce size, weight, and power (SWaP) of large optical systems. In particular, DARPA is interested in understanding the feasibility of developing fast (f/2 or faster) metalenses operating throughout the visible spectrum (400-700 nm). DARPA is interested in technologies that can scale up to >10 centimeters while still maintaining the performance expected from comparable high quality imaging systems with similar apertures. This SBO is issued under the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for SBIR/STTR, HR001119S0035.
