SAIL SPALT Process Redesign - Phase 1
GDAIS shall work with Strategic Systems Programs Technical Branches (SP22, SP23, SP24, and SP27), NSWC-Crane, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support-Mechanicsburg and Technical Branch support contractors to modify SAIL system requirements (OD 65865), perform preliminary and critical system design, and begin investigation of software requirements. The purpose of this project is to modify SAIL system to support SSP business practices affecting the delivery of logistics data for Strategic Systems Program Alterations (SPALTs)
Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the United States and United Kingdom TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
