The Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)-Fort Lee, VA is issuing this sources sought as part of market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 to identify vendors capable of providing the following: (1) Safety Toe Shoes (Steep/Composite) in accordance with American Society Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards F2412-11 and F2413-11. The Safety Shoes should have non-slip soles. (2) Static Dissipative or Metatarsals Safety Shoes - shoes will meet or exceed American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard F2413 and have an "SD" clearly visible on the ASTM label marked inside the shoes. The safety shoes should have non-slip soles. Multiple pairs of both type shoes are in need. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION NOTICE ONLY. This Sources Sought Synopsis is issued for maximizing competition. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) is 316210, "Footwear Manufacturing". Size standard: 1,000 employees. Market Research is being conducted to determine potential business sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this notice is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The results of this request may lead to a future synopsis announcement in FEDBIZOPPS as a Request for Quote. Interested sources are invited to respond to this announcement by submitting the following information: 1. Company name and address. 2. Point of Contact with email address. 3. Type of Business: Identify whether your firm is a SBA certified 8(a), certified HUBZone, VOSB, SDVOSB, SBA, certified WOSB, and/or EDWOSB concern. For more information on the definitions or requirements for these small business programs, refer to http://www.sba.gov. 4. Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code. 5. Additional information which demonstrates the ability to meet/fulfill this requirement. Include a copy of your company's SBA profile from http://dsds/sba.gov and your company's System for Award Management (SAM) printout.
