SACOG is seeking consultant services to redesign and update its website. In the past nine years, 53 percent of the 350,000 visitors to SACOG.org have been new visitors. SACOG's website is the first place people go for information pertaining to SACOG and its programs. In most cases, the first time users that arrive at SACOG.org have little to no knowledge about SACOG's work. The consultant will assist SACOG in creating a more favorable user experience. The current site is outdated in look and in function. The organizational structure is disjointed with some items that are less important or out of date at the forefront and other items that are timely and/or important are difficult to locate.

Additionally, SACOG is seeking a consultant that can redesign and upgrade the website to use current technologies including mobile access functionality, up-to-date security features to protect SACOG from external attacks, and a WYSIWYG editor (e.g., SACOG staff should be able to make simple changes and updates to the site without having to use HTML code).

SACOG has a graphic designer that will work with the consultant on the design of the website. The consultant will focus on assisting SACOG staff in identifying target audiences/stakeholders and the content they are seeking, best approaches to communicating and displaying that content, how to develop and maintain website content, how to assess the performance of the website, and provide training and hosting services.
