The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC) intends on purchasing custom fabricated rubber marine fenders with steel mounting brackets. The fender elements shall be molded of a natural, butyl, or EPDM rubber, which is compounded to provide satisfactory resistance to aging, water exposure, weathering, fatigue and abrasion. The material shall be uniform in quality and free from and contamination, cracks or defects that could be detrimental to the usefulness of performance. The material must be suitable for service in ambient temperatures of -40 F to + 100 F and meet the following technical requirements:
