VDOT will require the use of a staff of 1 Senior Construction Project Engineer (Professional Engineer
licensed by the State of Virginia preferred), 1 Resident Engineer-Structures (Professional Engineer
licensed by the State of Virginia), 1 Office Engineer (proficient in Primavera P6, computer-based
document management systems, Microsoft Office application suite, and Microstation), 2 Construction
Inspector Seniors (1 Structure/Bridge Inspector, and 1 Civil Inspector). Additional engineering functions,
which may be included, but not limited to, review and analysis of schedule, on-site review and
assessment of field conditions related to construction issues, concerns at the direction of VDOT or its
Consultants. All inspectors classifications shall be certified in the Departments certification schools and
by the Department of Conservation & Recreation for Erosion & Sediment Inspection.
