Solicitation W81K00-18-T-0076 will be issued on or about 27 February 2018 for the purchase for a robotic ankle and foot assembly for San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This is a "Brand name or equal" solicitation. The brand name is Bionx Medical Technologies. The salient characteristics of these products are as follows:
a.Ankle must provide proportional powered plantarflexion across all walking speeds
b.Ankle must provide at least 22 degrees of plantarflexion range
c.Ankle must move into passive plantarflexion when user Is seated
d.Ankle adjustments must be programmable with a clinician Interface
e.Ankle must self-adjust for toe clearance on stairs
f.Ankle must adjust to heel height changes by the end user
g.Must be applicable for use on both below the knee and above the knee prosthetic limbs.
h.Must utilize a computer or application interface program that allows for training and customization for the user
