The following requirement is for three sepearate opportunities that will be advertised as a multiple award under solicitation 12034319Q0134.  Each opportunity may be awarded to a single quoter or mutiple opportunities may be awarded.  The best value determination requirements and all trade off analysis requirements will be contained in the base solicitation once advertised/posted to this announcement.

b. Description of Work. (1) Chamook Last Fifty Road Decommissioning project consists of decommissioning approximately 13.19 miles of road. Road treatments range from partial outslopes to full recontour. Roadways will be decompacted as described in drawings and specifications. All fill material in draws will be removed and stream channels restored to natural grade and dimensions. In addition, native forbs and shrubs will be transplanted from areas adjacent to the road. Grade control structures will be placed in newly reconstructed stream channels.


(2) The 460-B Road Decommissioning project consists of decommissioning approximately 0.94 miles of road. These roads range from 12 feet to 30 feet wide with large fills averging 25 feet deep. The roads shall be decommissionned by recontouring. Roadways and landings will be decompacted as described in worklists. All fill material in draws will be removed and stream channels restored to natural grade and dimensions. This will require hauling excessive material away to approved waste sites. All disturbed areas will be seeded. In addition, native forbs and shrubs will be transplanted from areas adjacent to the road. Grade control structures will be constructed in newly reconstructed stream channels.


(3) Big Basin Spur: The project consists of decommissioning approximately 4.95 miles of nonsystem road. Road treatments range from partial outslopes to full recontour. Roadways will be decompacted as described in drawings and specifications. All fill material in draws will be removed and stream channels restored to natural grade and dimensions. In addition, native forbs and shrubs will be transplanted from areas adjacent to the road. Grade control structures will be placed in newly reconstructed stream channels.

c. Project Location. (1) Chamook Last Fifty: The project is located approximately 25 air miles Northeast of Kooskia, Idaho. From Kooskia, Idaho travel West on US Highway 12, travel 22 miles to Highway 11. Turn right onto Highway 11, travel 18 miles to Weippe to the junction of Highway 11 and Weippe City Street, "Pierce Street East", Turn Right onto Pierce Street East travel 11 miles to USFS Road 100 at Peterson's Corner. Turn Right onto USFS Road 100 travel 5 miles to the Junction of USFS Road 103 turn left on to Road 103; Travel 6 miles to USFS Road 520 the beginning of the project area.


(2) 460-B Road Obliteration: The project is located northeast of Kooskia, Idaho. From Kooskia travel East on Highway 12 for 14.5 miles to the junction of road 101 (Smith Creek). Road 101-G leaves road 101 near mile post 14. To access 5525: travel to mile post 16.5 to Fan Saddle and the junction with the 486. Turn east on the 486 and travel for 1.50 miles to the junction of the 5525. Turn southeast and go 1.9 miles to project area. To access 460-B: Turn left on road 460 near mile post 2 of road 5525 and continue on road 460 for 0.3 miles to the beginning of road 460-B.


(3) Big Basin Spur: The project is located approximately 95.7 miles Northeast of Kooskia, Idaho. From Kooskia, Idaho travel east on US Highway 12 at MP 169.7 to FS Road 369. On Road 369 go 3.2 miles to Forest road 369- B. There is a turn out, but the sign is gone. There is a gate approximately 0.05 miles from the junction. All but one road is off the 369-B.
Road 800901 is off Forest road 369, approximately 0.05 miles before the junction of road 369-B. All roads are flagged.
