Road Decommissioning - FSR 202A Little Stony
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This work consists of decommissioning Forest Service Road 202A over a length of 3.6 miles by a combination of road obliteration and road to trail conversion. Work shall include road obliteration by slope rounding or full slope recontouring, road to trail conversion by boulder placement or out-sloping, removal of one wood post structure, construction of cross drains and rolling dips, construction of earth berm and boulder barriers, construction of a stream crossing, and seeding and mulching. Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, tools, material, and equipment necessary to perform all work in strict accordance with the specification and drawings.
CONTRACT TIME: 45 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed.
ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: $25,000 to $150,000
PROJECT LOCATION:
From Elizabethton, TN take TN 91 north for approx. 10 miles. Turn left on Panhandle Road which becomes FSR 56. Travel approx. 4 miles and turn left onto FSR 202. Travel approx. 5 miles to the end of the road. FSR 202A & Trail 202A begin at the end of the road.
