The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correction Complex 5880 State HWY 67 South, Florence, CO 81226, intends to issue solicitation 15B40619QUP140324, for the requirements of 4,800 Tons of Class 5(1-1/2") Road Base w/delivery. This solicitation is set aside 100% to Small Business and FOB Destination. Deliveries will be made to the Federal Correctional Institution, 5880 State Highway 67 South, Florence, CO 81226. The contract type is a firm-fixed price. The Government will award on lowest price technically acceptable evaluation criteria. The solicitation will open August, 22, 2019 and will be posted to the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website: http://www.fbo.gov. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to insure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. The solicitation closes on August 29, 2019 4:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. Payment will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.sam.gov. A pre-bid conference and site visit is scheduled for Monday August 26, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. Mountain Standard Time at the front gate of Federal Correctional Complex Florence, CO. Located at 5880 State HWY 67 South, Florence, CO 81226. The pre-bid conference and site visit is not mandatory; however, all bidders are urged to attend.
NCIC background checks will be required for participants attending this conference. The authorization for release of information (Form BP-A0660 NCIC Check, Residency Certification, and a contractor pre-employment form, attached) shall be completed for each attendee and submitted to Jessica Toelle no later than 10:00 A.M. The forms must include a cover letter indicating they are for the FCC Florence Road Base project in addition to the following information:
• Company name and list of individuals from the company who will be attending.
• Phone number and point of contact for the company for notification of any NCICs that are denied.
• Companies without a completed NCIC by August 23, 2019 and prior approval will not be allowed to attend the pre-bid conference and site visit.
NOTE: The FBOP is prohibited from divulging any information regarding any reasons for NCIC denials. Only the fact that a person has been denied will be communicated to the company's point of contact.
