River Reach A Phase 1 Revegetation
Contaminants of concern originated with historical mining, milling, and smelting processes upstream of the River and include arsenic, cadmium, copper, lead, and zinc. Concentrations of such constituents are quite variable in the stream channel, along streambanks and within the floodplain of the River and present human health, ecological, and environmental risks. The CFR Reach A, Phase 1 Revegetation Project, represents the revegetation portion to be performed in conjunction with the remedial construction project for CFR Reach A, Phase 1 and involves: scouting, collection and delivery of willow cuttings to the remedial construction contractor for CFR Reach A, Phase 1; planting of various-sized woody and wetland herbaceous plants along reconstructed streambanks, stream channel and on the remediated floodplain; hand broadcast seedin
