Risk Assessment and Risk Management
The Scope of Work requires the following:
Environmental Investigations:
provide additional investigations and intrusive assessment to further investigate the lateral and vertical extents of impacts and to collect additional data for use during the risk assessment;
Preparation of a Risk Assessment/Risk Management Plan
Prescribe measures to mitigate or eliminate exposure pathways to potential human and ecological receptors. Measures are to be incorporated into the community centre development construction program, and are to be mindful of other authorities having jurisdiction on this site
Provide input and allow for meetings with architects and civil engineers to guide the design and stipulate the methods of soil remediation within the community centre construction contract through on-site soil management or importation of additional fill, management of surplus soils generated during construction, etc.
Site Remediation (Risk Management Approach) Field Functions:
Provide Field Review during the implementation of Risk Management measures;
Provide On-going Monitoring and Inspection (5 year period) following completion of the risk assessment/risk management process (if required);
Securing MOE approvals for:
Preparation of Preliminary Screening Form (PSF) and securement of MOE approval;
Preparation of Risk Assessment Plan and securement of MOE approval;
Development of a complete package for the filing of a Record of Site Condition (RSC) with the MOE and securement of acknowledged RSC by the MOE
