This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The solicitation number W913E519Q0008 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ).


The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing.


The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) has a requirement for one (1) reverse osmosis and de-ionizing system with the following specifications:


• Combination of Reverse Osmosis and De-ionizing System


• Mixed bed De-ionizing system is preferred


• Electrically powered.
• Must accept potable drinking water


• Must produce pure water free of ions and particles larger than 1 micron


• Must remove 98% of total dissolved solids


• Water output temp must be between 5-15C and conductivity must be less than 100 uS/cm @ 25C (micro-Siemens per centimeter)
• Total Organic Carbon must be less than 50 ppb


• Installation must be included


• Minimum storage capacity is 50 gallons.


• Must produce a minimum of 750 gallons per day.


• Must have automated backwash system


• Must have a minimum of a one-year warranty


• One training class for ten operators on site at CRREL is required.
