Retirement Research Foundation Offers Funding to Improve Lives of Older Adults Through Core Grants Program
The Chicago-based Retirement Research Foundation works to improve the quality of life for older adults in the United States, especially those who are vulnerable due to advanced age, economic disadvantage, or disparity related to race and ethnicity.
Through its grantmaking programs, RRF fulfills its mission by supporting innovative service, education, research, and advocacy projects that benefit older Americans nationwide.
RRF's or Core Grants are awarded to efforts that improve access to and quality of community-based and residential health and long-term care; promote economic security for all older adults by strengthening social insurance, pension, and personal savings programs; and support adequate training of those working directly with older persons and their families to bring higher-quality care to larger numbers of older adults.
Nonprofit organizations in the United States that focus on advocacy, research, or continuing education and training related to older adults are eligible to apply through the RRF Core Grants program. Direct-service requests will be considered only from organizations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Florida.
Proposals are due May 1, August 1, and February 1, annually. Decisions are usually made within four months of each deadline.
