Response to Intervention Technical Assistance Center (RtI-TAC)
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of Vocational and Educational Services
for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID), seeks to establish a statewide Response to Intervention
Technical Assistance Center (RtI-TAC) to support the development and implementation of high
quality Response-to-Intervention (RtI) programs in school districts around the State. RtI-TAC will be
expected to make research-based information on RtI available statewide; directly assist school
districts identified by VESID as needing technical assistance and professional development to
establish RtI school-based projects; and conduct a review and evaluation of the effectiveness of
selected districts implementation of RtI programs. RtI-TAC and its functions will be overseen by
VESID.
