The State is seeking proposals to provide Respite Services. Respite is planned, temporary care of a child or youth with developmental or emotional/behavioral disabilities in order to provide relief to the primary caregiver. While in respite care, a child is to receive care which addresses their health, social, behavioral and daily living needs. Services, at the choice of the primary caregiver, may be provided in the primary caregiver’s home or in the home of the provider. Providers of this service can either be pre-certified or uncertified and chosen by the family/primary caregiver.
