Resource Specialist Services and STAP Outreach Services
The State seeks to fund at least one Deafness Resource Specialist and one Hearing Loss Resource Specialist project in each HHSC Region in accordance with the specifications contained in this Request for Proposal (RFP). In particular, the services requested herein and to be provided under any contract awarded as a result of this RFP are for the purpose of facilitating access to services of federal, state and local governments, and organizations and private entities for persons who are unserved and underserved and who are deaf or hard of hearing. Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP) Outreach and Training services may also be provided under a contract for HLRS services to assist individuals in the purchase of specialized devices for telephone network access.
