Thr County is requesting proposals for a Residential Diversion Facility that provides community crisis services for up to twelve consumers, diverting and shortening admissions from inpatient settings, including private hospitals and Mendota/Winnebago Mental Health Institutes. It is expected that this facility will be able to respond to referrals on a 24/7 basis and serve consumers for whom existing resources, such as Crisis Homes, Recovery House and Short Term Care, do not. It is expected that this facility serves consumers who present with more challenging behaviors, such as water intoxication, risk of aggression, inadequate/improper socialization, or with consumers who present with more acute needs, such as psychosis, suicidality, medical/medication management or 24/7 awake supervision.
