The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Caribbean-Florida Water Science Center (CFWSC) has a requirement to establish an indefinite delivery contract for the chartering of a research vessel to study sea turtles in the area of Cape/Middle Cape Sable region of the Everglades National Park and the Garden Key area of Dry Tortugas National Park. The estimated number of trips per year is four to five, with each tripB?s duration typically ranging from seven to 10 days. Trip duration will not exceed 10 days. Up to six USGS personnel will be on each trip. This requirement is expected to result in the award of a one-year indefinite delivery contract with a period of performance of one year from the date of award.

There will be four one-year option periods thereafter.

Competitive request for quotations (RFQ) 140G0118Q0280 will be issued on or about 07/09/2018 with written quotes due on or about 07/30/2018.

The NAICS code is 483114. The size standard is 500 employees.

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to issue a competitive RFQ under FAR Subpart 13.5 B? Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The RFQ will be competed using full and open competition procedures and will not be set aside for small business concerns. The anticipated award date of the contract is 08/01/2018. A vendor must be registered at http://www.sam.gov to be awarded the contract.
