Request for Responses for Third-Generation Pharmacy On-Line Processing System
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is issuing this Request for Responses (RFR) to solicit proposals from qualified Bidders to provide, operate and support a third-generation Pharmacy On-Line Processing System (POPS III) for EOHHS. EOHHS has developed and currently operates a POPS through a contract with Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. - State Healthcare (ACS)(the incumbent). The Vendor will operate POPS III from their own facility, maintain and enhance POPS III with their own staff as directed by EOHHS, and provide linkage between POP III and other EOHHS systems/functions including but not limited to: NewMMIS, MA21, CST, the EOHHS Data Warehouse, and the EOHHS Virtual Gateway. A Bidders Conference is scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 10:00AM at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, 333 South St, Shrewsbury, MA. Interested parties are invited, but not required, to attend. Additional information can be found in SECTION 3.7.1 of the RFR. Bidders are required to submit a letter stating their intent to bid to the individual named in SECTION 4.4 of the RFR no later than July 16, 2009 at 2:00PM (Eastern Time). The RFR is covered by the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement, established January 1, 1996, to encourage worldwide trade by ensuring fairness, non-discrimination, and equal treatment of laws, regulations, and procedures in the government procurement process.
