Placer County is inviting proposals from qualified consulting firms, groups or individuals to update and add to the March 2008 Community Wildfire Protection Plan for the West Slope of the Sierra Nevada in Placer County. Community wildfire protection plans (CWPP) were identified in the Healthy Forest Restoration Act (H.R. 1904) as a collaborative agreement between local government, local fire departments and state agencies responsible for fire management with other volunteers, interested parties and federal land management agencies.
