Request for Proposals: Web Site Development
We are a Washington, DC-based non-profit organization seeking an experienced web developer to assist with the upgrade of our internationally recognized website. The current site has several thousand pages in Moveable Type. Our aim is to migrate to WordPress.
Goals for Website Upgrade:
Improved usability for both visitors and staff
Improved ease of modification and maintenance
Improved capabilities for online donations
Increased site rankings
Tasks to Be Accomplished:
Graphical upgrade to website
Structural improvements to to website's back end
Content mirroring and integration between our websites
Platform migration from Movable Type
Develop strategies for social media, SEO, and e-publishing
Dates for Work:
Begin work immediately upon signing of contract
Finish no later than June 1, 2013
Proposal Submission Guidelines:
Candidates should submit proposals no later than Friday, March 29, 2013 to [email protected]. Proposals should include:
1. Three examples of successful completion of other similar projects
2. A brief description of qualifications
3. A firm estimate of fees to be charged
Interviews will be held on a rolling basis.
