Request for Proposal for Reliable Storage
MSI seeks to procure a storage solution that will provide several data management feature sets and storage capacity that will be used as a central data repository for all of MSI researchers. MSI has $180,000 for this procurement. The solution should provide a level of high-availability, and tiered storage capabilities, with as much capacity as the budget provides. The solution should be scalable, capable of easy incremental growth and expansion in terms of both capacity and functionality. It is expected that the solution be delivered by no later than Friday, March 19, 2010 and the installation, integration, and that acceptance plans required from the vendor will start soon thereafter.
